About Doug Benedict
A Metal Sculptor born and raised in Dayton, Ohio.
I attribute my interest in art to my mother, who encouraged participation in various arts and crafts growing up. Like many people, i attended art class all through school but the medias we worked in just did not capture and hold my interest at that time.
In 2001, by chance, my brother-in-law asked me if I would like to do some welding in his garage. After that I was hooked. I have exhibited in many venues such as Fitton Center for Creative Arts, Pyramid Hill Art Fair, The Mac Worthington Studio, Hyde Park Human Form Art Show, Hyde Park Square Art Show, High Road Gallery, and Troy Sculptures on the Square.
